Q. How do I play?
A. The USANA RESET Nation Challenge is a weight-loss competition, so dropping pounds is important. But it’s also about starting down the path to change—the kind that ends with a new happier, healthier you.
In the United States and Canada, there are five categories you can compete in: male (weight-loss percentage*), female (weight-loss percentage*), partners (weight-loss percentage*), total weight loss, and essays/stories. There will be three grand-prize winners from each category.
In the United Kingdom, Netherlands, Belgium, France, Colombia, Australia, and New Zealand, there is only one category—highest percentage of weight loss for an individual. Australia and Colombia will have two grand-prize winners, and New Zealand will have one. The United Kingdom, Netherlands, France, and Belgium will have two grand-prize winners for these combined markets.
You’ll need to send in a “before” photo and enter your starting weight. Then, to win you’ll need to track your progress by entering your weight every week. You will receive prizes as you reach different weight-loss milestones throughout the competition. You’ll also have to submit an “after” photo and an essay about how the Challenge impacted your life. You should also finish the True Health Assessment, and a purchase of at least $49.95 from the RESET or USANA foods line is required to be eligible to win the grand prize.
*Since this challenge is organized worldwide, we are using the same categorical names for all the countries where we operate. However, we want to be specific for Canada and the European Union that the RESET Nation Challenge is presented solely as a weight-management program and is not intended to promote weight loss.
Q. What do I win?
A. See prizes.
Q. Why are some of the categories based on percentage of weight loss? Why not have all of them be total weight loss?
A. With everyone starting out at different weight, percentage of weight loss creates a more even playing field. But, in the U.S. and Canada, we have total weight loss as a category to reward those who drop the most weight during the Challenge
Q. How do I track my progress?
A. You should be entering your weight each week. On your dashboard, you’ll be able to see your progress and where you fall on the RESET Challenge leaderboard.
Q. Are there individual winners?
A. Yes. In the United Kingdom, Netherlands, France, Belgium, Colombia, Australia, and New Zealand, there are only individual winners. In the U.S. and Canada, it depends on the category. The partner category will obviously be based on the weight-loss percentage of both partners.
Q. Which markets are participating in the Challenge?
A. The Challenge is only open to Associates and Preferred Customers in the U.S., Canada, United Kingdom, Netherlands, France, Belgium, Colombia, Australia, and New Zealand.
Q. What if I opt in two days before the end of the Challenge? Can I still win?
A. Yes. You can opt in any time during the challenge period, but you stand a better chance to win if you do so sooner rather than later. It’s easier to lose more weight—and do it safely—over a longer period of time.
Q. Can I compete in multiple categories?
A. Yes. You have to pick either male or female—for obvious reasons—but you can also compete as partners, if you want. We will be tracking your weight, so you are automatically entered into the total weight loss category, and your essay will be judged at the end of the Challenge.
For those in the United Kingdom, France, Belgium, Colombia, Netherlands, Australia, and New Zealand, there is only one category, which is highest percentage of weight loss.
Q. What if I enter the female and partner category and win both? Do I get both prizes?
A. No. You will receive the partner prize and we will reward the next female down the leaderboard. Also, if you win the female category and the total weight-loss category, you will only receive one prize, and we’ll take the next female down the leaderboard.
Q. What happens in the case of a tie?
A. See the official rules for information about judging and how ties will be broken.
Q. Is there a minimum or maximum word count for my essay?
A. There is no limit to the number of words you can use in your essay. Although, we do suggest you keep the length to around 500 words to keep your essay short and concise.
Q. Do I have to calculate my own weight-loss percentage?
A. No. All you have to do is enter your weight, and the system will automatically calculate your percentage, as well as track your total weight-loss numbers.
Q. What do I need to submit to win?
A. To officially sign up, you will need:

- Click “Browse Contestants” if you want to browse the user names of contestants who have already opted in, OR type your partner’s username in the box to search for them.

- Choose a team name and set it on your “Team Profile” page.
Q. Can I change partners during the Challenge?
A. No. Once you are partnered with another Associate or PC, you cannot change partners or dissolve that partnership. So choose your partner wisely.
Q. Can we change the team name during the Challenge?
A. No. Once the partnership is accepted, the name is set, as well.
Q. Will USANA book my airfare if I win?
A. You will be responsible for booking your own airfare. We’ll reimburse you after the trip. Airfare vouchers are valued at $500 US for those in the United States and Canada, and $1,500 US for those in the United Kingdom, Netherlands, Belgium, France, Colombia, Australia, and New Zealand.
Q. If I win, can I bring a guest with me to Sanoviv?
A. Yes. USANA will pay the nightly rate for your guest, but he or she must pay for any treatments he or she receives at Sanoviv.
Q. If my partner and I win the partners category will I get my own room?
A. No. The winners of the partner category will share a room.
